Full description

Contemporary records state, “Road blocks. Waterhouse Lane and North Avenue. Map refs. 144254 and 143271”. (Mil. Ed.) <1> The road block at Waterhouse Lane can be seen on a June 1946 aerial photograph. Concrete anti-tank pimples, in three rows, stand on each side of the road, immediately S of the River Can bridge. Approximately ten can be made out. Between these, a removable barrier would have sealed off the actual carriageway. <2>

In 2005, nothing of them now survives.
