Full description
Recording during replacement of two buildings in 1980. This area could be on the tail of the Iron Age/Saxon bank of the earthwork. Although the sides of deep pit showed that ground disturbance, possibly a ditch fill, existed at great depth, most of the area examined represented deposits caused by C19 building activity. Any archaeological layers must be at much greater depth. <1>
