A pillbox once stood on the pavement outside The Stores on Nazeing Common road. It was, apparently, built onto the wall on the E side. <1> This is confirmed by War Time Contraventions although the record combines the two pillboxes on the south side of Nazeing Common road (for other see SMR 10102) at old map reference 854239 - the location, in fact, of the other one. <2>
