Full description
An aerial photograph taken in 1946 shows what appears to be anti-tank blocks by the railway line at the point where the cutting effectively becomes the anti-tank ditch. <1> One was on top of the N embankment and one was each side of the line. Presumably these two, with a barrier between, were sited to prevent tanks using the cutting to breach the defences. From the top of the embankment nothing of these blocks appears to remain but this cannot be verified without British Rail permission.
