Vertical and oblique aerial photographs taken in 1948 and 1949 show an hexagonal pillbox, with its entrance on the SE side, standing on the N side of the railway line. This position is at the W end of a small V-shaped harbour in the River Stour - now reclaimed land. <1> <2>
