Full description

A timber-framed and weatherboarded single-storey granary standing on three rows of four red brick piers. 'IC 1830' is carved on the north east corner pier <1>. This may be the date of construction, but the same inscription occurs on the timber-framed barn on the north side of the lane at Westfield Farm [12201] and may record a renovation. Until the mid 20th century the farm encompassed both sides of the road. Demolition of most of the farm buildings on the south side left only fragments, including the granary, close to the house itself [12199].
