Full description
Site of St Faith's Well, probably filled up at the Reformation; the waste ground around it was drained and levelled by Francis Taverner in 1624 <1>. The OS Record states that 'no trace of the well site was visible on the ground, which is now under pasture within the grounds of a modern house. The approximate siting and name were confirmed by local residents' <2>.
