Full description

Octagonal brick and concrete pillbox (Type 27 <1>) at side of field overlooking the valley to the N. This pillbox is part of the Cheshunt to Newgate Street chain guarding the approaches from the N and is typically well-sited. The doors to the central well are intact but, as expected, the anti-aircraft gun mounting post has rotted away <2>.
