Full description
'Icehouse and small mound marked on 6" map' <1>. See [1831] for the park.
The 'Icehouse' is shown on the 1877 OS map <2> as a narrow mound, 12m long, orientated almost north-south and lying within a shrubbery. The entrance tunnel was at the north end, opening onto an approach path. 20th century landscaping within the park has removed all the shrubberies and paths, and apparently also the mound <3>.
