Full description
A square brick and concrete structure, of which only the concrete base or floor remains. Purpose uncertain, but it formed part of the Second World War airfield infrastructure. It is shown on the 1960 OS 1:10000 map, just outside the woodland boundary, but is now surrounded by trees<1>. A 1944 plan of the airfield shows nothing at this location <3>.
