Full description

Substantial quantity of concrete debris scattered along the outer side of the south-east ditch of a moat [2000], indicating that at least one pillbox may have been located on the woodland edge in this area (see [6941]). Substantial concentrations of the debris lie at each end of the ditch, perhaps indicating that a pillbox stood at each corner of the woodland boundary here; compare the location of [6935, 6936], on the NW edge of the wood <1>. No structures are shown in this area on a 1944 map of the airfield <3>.
