Full description

Foundations of a Small Arms Ammunition Store, approximately 10m x 8m. This is shown on a 1944 plan of the airfield and is one of two at the airfield. It would have held munitions for use whilst defending the airfield from attack <2>. It is a short distance N of pillbox [6941] and Allen's Green airfield battle headquarters [6942]. A few concrete blocks remain in situ in the SW corner of the rectangular structure <1>.
