Full description

A report of 17 Saxon pin heads, 2 saxon strap ends and 1 Ringerike-style book mount, found at this site west of mablethorpe and north of Meers Bank. {1}{2}

Ringerike style decoration is not typically Saxon, and is associated with Norse and Viking peoples from the end of the 10th century to the 12th century at the latest. It may be possible that the finds were misidentified, or that they represent a mixed assemblage.
