PRN 13990
A nonconformist mortuary chapel is shown in Boston Cemetery on the 1905 OS County Series Map. The chapel was built when the cemetery was laid out in 1854 and was demolished in 1961. Its sister Anglican chapel, to which it was identical, is a Grade II Listed Building, and still survives (2008) (PRN13989). Both chapels were designed by Pritchet and Sons of York. The surviving Anglican chapel is built in Gothic style, of white brick with Ancaster stone dressings and has a slate roof with coped gables. It has an open porch and windows with decorated tracery. The open porch is surmounted by a square tower with a broached octagonal spire. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}
