Full description

PRN 37630
In the yard to the rear of nos. 31 and 32 is a section of early stone wall containing two walled-up ex situ low 15th century doorways which are now covered up by garages. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1}
There are two reset 15th century arches in a store shed behind the main building (nos. 31 and 32, which is now a garage). These were thought to have been entrances to kitchens and offices from a screens passage but they are shown to have not been in situ by early photographs which show them standing on either side of the yard entrance. They were moved to their present site in 1934. Before this, they must have come from elsewhere because the yard itself was created in the early 20th century. {2}
