Full description
1) At Castlethorpe was the castle of the Barony of Hanslope. Its owner, Wlm Maudit, had it garrisoned against the King, for which it was demolished in 1217. Are traces of very extensive buildings (b1(1813)).
2) Built as a manorial stronghold C12th by Wlm Maudit (b4);
3) Demolished 1215 (b6).
