Full description
The base and shaft of a churchyard cross made of limestone ashlar. The plinth is square-section and carries a weathered octagonal cross-base with the stump of a square-section cross-shaft (1).
The cross was restored and placed in its present position in 1847. Previously the stump and pedestal were on the North side of the church, while part of the stem was found elsewhere. The socket may predate the rest of the cross. The whole structure measures 10 foot 3 inches high (4).
Moved several meters to face the south transept entrance: LBC - DC/739/96/MAR (6)
