Full description
THE RUINED 17TH CENT MANOR WAS DISMANTLED & RE-ERECTED AT RYEDALE FOLK MUSEUM. UNDER THE FLAGGED FLOOR WERE POST HOLES & A FIREPIT WAS ALSO FOUND. SEVERAL PHASES OF POST-MEDALTERATIONS WERE RECORDED. A TIED-CRUCK FRAME BUILDING OF THE 17TH CENT FORMED A LATER (?LATEST) PHASE OF THE MANOR HOUSE THIS PHASE ALSO INCLUDED BRICK CHIMNEYS WATTLE & DAUB PARTITION WALLS AND A THATCHED ROOF.
