Description

A vertical sided pit cut into chalk. It was not fully excavated, but four distinct fills were identified. Finds included animal bone, ceramic building material, nails and 17th-18th century pottery. It was probably roughly contemporary with the robbing out of the north-south Abbey Wall <1>.
