Description

Limestone surfaces (110/132), probably after a truncation episode. Mostly silty clays with numerous brick and tile fragments, that widely range in date from c1200 AD to 20th century. These probably represent river sediment layers, which were dredged up during the canalisation of the Kennet and dumped by its side. The finds are therefore residual <1>.
