Summary

Description

Trench 2 contained compact clay/silty-clay deposits which varied in thickness and colour, below modern rubble. Several contained brick, tile and clay pipe fragments. Context 202 for example contained late 12/13th century sherds; medieval tile and 18th century tin glazed earthenware sherds <1>.
