Description

Ice house, now disused. Probably late C18 or early C19. Red brick structure under earth mound. Short segmental-arched tunnel leads to partly infilled egg-shaped cavity. A well-preserved motte (Scheduled Ancient Monument, County No. 265) lies immediately to north-west <1>

To the S of the Hall, and south of Petton church, a wooded mound covers an ice house (1981). <2>
