Description
In 1634 there stood mills of unspecified number by the pond "at Lilleshall towns end". A mill was recorded next to the towns end pond in 1717, and was in existence in 1805. By 1585 a bloom forge was working in Lilleshall village at the "Pool". The pool was probably the mill pond taken into the Hall grounds c1810. <1>
