Description
A very small area of confusing AP marks visible to south of Horsehead Inn and north of Bell Brook on Baker's AP plot. <1>
It is possible that these possible cropmarks are associated with finds found here in 1995, in association with a watching brief on test-pits for the Uckington to Cuddeley link main. Finds of Samian ware, imported colour-coated ware and amphora with brick and tile fragments, including at least one tegula, were interpreted as indicating a possible villa in the vicinity. See PRN 04706. <2>
