Photographed during aerial survey in 2008. Dwarfed by modern farm buildings. <8>

Visited by OBHAG during the Morda Valley Research Project, between 1994 and 1997. Documentary history of the mill is given, together with key features. The old building was burnt down in 1971 and is now part stone and part corrugated iron, with all machinery gone. <9>

Described as Peate's Mill and (in 1989) as still active….it was once dependent on corn brought by narrowboat from Ellesmere Port..canal traffic ceased in 1932. <10>

Formerly water-powered corn mill, now milled by electricity. Extant in the 19th century. <11>
