Description
A map of 1739 [<1>], predating the rebuilding of Tong Castle and expansion of the park [see PRNs 07551, 20667], shows parkland [PRN 08522] to the east of the early 18th century Tong Castle, with two avenues of trees stretching north east (to the main road) and south east (across the road and to Tong Deer Park). <2>
