Description

Depicted as three parallel lines on the 1st edition 25" OS map of the late 19th century date. <1>

Depicted as two parallel lines on the 2nd edition 25" OS map of early 20th century date. <2>

Post medieval ruinous mine wheelpit. Remains of donkey wheel - two parallel walls standing to 3 and 2m, mortared uncoursed stone rubble. Various spoil heaps. Mine shaft and fire set quarry. Platforms fire set quarry 10m w 3m high. Donkey wheel 10 x 3 x 2m high. Shaft 2-2.5m diameter. Spoil heap 5m high. In fair condition. <3>
