Description

Probably 1796. Ellesmere type, red brick. Late 19th century extension in blue engineering brick. <1>

The information given in <1> appears to describe a building shown as Lockgate House on the 1902 Ordnance Survey map. <1> refers to a lengthsman's hut and gauging office at Aston Lock, but this can not be located. <2><3>
