Description

Ashford Bowdler level crossing opened on 1854 and closed in October 1855. Opened for a trial 6 months in 1854, and extended for a further 6 months. Called Ashford Level Crossing in a company minutes. <1>

2nd edition Ordnance Survey 1:2500 map shows that level crossing has been replaced by an overbridge.<2>

The modern aerial photograph shows that the bridge has been removed and that the line has reverted to a level crossing. <3>
