Description
Bromfield railway station opened on 21/4/1852 and closed 9/6/1958. Goods till 15/6/1964. Single platform W of line originally, with E platform added after the line was doubled in the 1860s. Main buildings W of line. Extra platforms added to the south later to serve Ludlow Racecourse - and footbridge added as well. <1>
Shown on 2nd edition Ordnance Survey 1:2500 map, including station building, track, platform, signal point and weighing machine. <2>
Station buildings survive (converted to residential usage). Signal box and Level crossing in use. <3>
