Description

Condover station opened on 21/4/1852 and closed on 9/6/1958. Goods till 1963. Two platformed station with main buildings on E side of the line. Goods yard to NE. Station was N of overbridge with its own access road from E, and step access for foot passengers. Platform lengthened in the 1860s after the line was doubled. <1>

Shown on 2nd edition Ordnance Survey 1:2500 map, inluding platforms, weighing machine and signal points. <2>

Main station building survives (converted to residential usage). Track still in use. <3>
