Description
Donington station opened on 1/6/1849 and closed on 7/9/1964. Goods till 4/10/1965. Two platformed station with the main buildings of plain brick on the S platform. Just W of level crossing with small goods yard to W. Private siding of the Midland Iron Works to S. <1>
Shown on 2nd edition Ordnance Survey 1:2500 map, including station buildings, platform, track, crane, sidings, weighing machine, signal box and signal points. <2>
Nothing survives, now Donington roundabout. <3>
