Description
Two platformed station just E of overbridge to S of the town. Main station buildings on N platform, substantial but plain with small canopy. Overbridge replaced original level crossing c.1880. Former crossing keeper's house incorporated in station buildings on S platform. Covered footbridge added at same time. Fairly large goods yard to E and N. <1>

Site now redeveloped for housing. <3>
Photographs taken 18th December 2017. The former Station House was just visible, almost totally surrounded by a) an older housing estate and b) a new estate still in the process of being completed. A new double garage at the front of the property has just been completed and a tall wooden fence, also newly erected hide the remainder of the property. <4>
