Description
WW II sleeping shelter, part of Atcham Airfield Site No.1. Brick built with walls 0.36m thick, reinforced flat concrete roof, protected entries at ends, no windows, similar to 50285*0. One of only 2 survivors on airfield. Located on edge of Black Coppice, it was sited between a hanger (dem) and an aircraft emplacement, 50400*0. Constructed 1941-2. <1>
Visited in management/condition survey in 2015. One of two extant sleeping shelters [see PRN 33828] of four built. Photographic record. <2>
