Description

Atcham WWII Airfield "dispersed site No. 14" was constructed in 1942 throughout Attingham Park, most notably along the N side of the main drive and to the N of the back drive. It comprised of an accommodation block (50402*0), Main accommodation area centred within and to the S of the Stable Block (50101*0). Comprising 11 Nissen huts, a mess, ablutions and timber built storage sheds. Constructed 1942, dismantled c.1948. Extensive sub-surface service systems probably remain. <1>

Described briefly in management/condition survey in 2015. No visible remains but graffiti is recorded on the stable block. <2>
