Description
A wharf which developed in the 19th century on the Montgomery Canal. Remains recorded in 1989 included a warehouse, tavern, stables, office, wharf walls and a cast-iron crane base. The length of the canal here, from Hordley Wharf, was abandoned after a breach in 1917 and is now dry; the wharf buildings (including listed limekilns - see PRN 00925) were described as largely unaltered in 1989. <1>
A number of wharfside buildings survive, including a possible wharehouse. <2>
