Description

An annotation to JAM's 1905 map of the Austin Friars (Morris's Bakery area): wall 'E', merely described as 'portion of existing wall of masonry'. <1>

Shown as an isolated feature but clearly part of the town wall line (PRN 62563) seen also in 1997 (ESA 4905) <2>

Plotted on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map by Richard K Morriss from J A Morris' notes. The extent of this monument reflects the part of the wall positively identified, with the town wall line (PRN 62563) marked as 'fragmentary remains'. <3>

See PRN 62563 for details of other sightings of the town wall in this area. <4>
