Summary
The VCH of 1908 interpreted a mound marked as a "Tumulus" on OS maps as the remains of a castle mound. No trace of a mound survived by 1962. There are vague reports of respectively a sword and two bones having been found at the mound.

Description
The fragment of a castle mound, 9ft high, at Lee Brockhurst <1a>
Two bones from a tumulus at Lee Brockhurst were given to Shrewsbury Museum 7/2/1842. Lost? <1b>
From a mound at Lee, a sword was taken a few years since. It was stolen before being seen by any authority <1c>
The feature is shown on the OS 25in map of 1901 as a hollow. This has been obliterated and the site built upon. No trace of a mound was found in the vicinity. OS FI 1962 <1><1d>
