Full description
[6]: A large feature was observed in a trench in Houndwell Park. The bottom of the feature was not reached. It was at least 0.46m deep and at least 19m wide. Its gently sloping southwest edge was seen. Some possible 20th century bottle glass was seen in one fill, otherwise the feature is interpreted as the late-18th-century/early-19th-century canal, backfilled in the mid 19th century.
