SOU 893 (Watching Brief at the Haymarket Electricity Substation, Strand, 1998):
[1]: Natural deposits were not exposed. Several undated layers were detected, possibly associated with the town rampart. All artefacts observed were of early modern or later date.
IP 20/1/03: The abstract at the start of [1] does not mention the undated layers, but refers to several post-medieval layers, presumably the layers found associated with a ?19th century wall (for which see separate record).
