Full description
SOU 1464, Trench 6 (watching brief at the High Arcades, Western Esplanade/Town Quay Road in 2008):
[1]: A stone wall was revealed in this trench just north of the Mayflower Memorial, Town Quay Road (fig 2 and fig 6). It was c1.3m wide and built of limestone rubble in a coarse, stony, lime mortar. It may have been a remnant of the medieval town wall or part of a later building. All deposits removed in the vicinity were 19th and 20th century.
