Full description
[1]: Three foundation trenches cut into the northern edge of the outer town ditch. The ditch backfill was a dark, soft earth containing shells, pottery sherds, tile pieces and animal bones. (No date is given for the finds.) The ditch cut natural yellow sand, and possibly natural gravel, although the source is a contradictory as to the relationship with the gravel.
