Full Description
CALCINATED WORKED FLINT AND ONE SMALL FRAGMENT OF ANTLER FOUND IN SILTS BELOW PEAT DURING EXCAVATION BY S D FORD. SEE ALSO SMR 1389.02.100
Excavations took place at 1-3 Market Place in 1974 and several periods of activity were identified. The earliest evidence of human activity was attested to by bones and worked flint from the Mesolithic Period.
