Full Description
SWORDBLADE CONVERTED TO PIKEHEAD. TNDFC (1872-75) GIVES TECHNICAL DETAILS, ALSO RELATES THAT IT WAS FOUND ON THE SITE OF THE 2ND BATTLE OF NEWBURY (1644). THE FOLLOWING DATING OF THE SWORD (LATE 16TH CENTURY) AND ITS CONVERSION (CIVIL WAR PERIOD) SEEMS A SPECULATIVE ASSOCIATION WITH NO FACTUAL BASIS
