    1861-2. Architect J.S. Dodd. One giant storey, monumental ashlar building. Three bay front divided by pairs of Corinthian pilasters. Round headed openings on ground floor. Circular plaques over. Round panel in tympanum of pediment. Ornaments on acroteria.

Full Description

Grade II listed building built circa 1861-2. Italianate style. Monumental <1>. Used for Corn dealing until 1983, but also for public events <3>. Research on the building by staff at West Berkshire Museum (later Heritage Service) has been produced in a couple of formats <2><4>. The Corn Exchange was designed by J S Dodd, converted and extended by Lyons, Sleeman & Hoare in 1993 <6> <7>.
