Full Description
A SILVER HALFPENNY OF ALEXANDER III OF SCOTLAND (1249-86). FOUND ON PAVEMENT NEXT TO PARTLY DEMOLISHED WALL AT PRIORY. OBVERSE; HEAD, CROWNED, WITH SCEPTRE. REVERSE; LONG CROSS PATTEE WITH SIX-POINTED STAR IN 2 ANGLES, LEGEND 'REX SCOTORUM'. NEWBURY MUSEUM ACCESSION NO 1981.24.
