Full Description
Building 140 was built by 1956 on the south-east corner of the Apron Road and Warehouse Road junction <1>. It was a rectangular, single storey, pitched roof ‘Butler’ shed, comprising a steel structure clad with pressed aluminium sheets. It covered an area of 3,200sq ft. It was built as a paint, dope and fabric shop prior to being used as store/warehouse. After the closure of the base, the building was internally divided to house a vehicle maintenance shop and car valet. It was demolished 2005.
