Full Description
Building 163 on Ministry Road, known as the Commissary, was built in 1987 as the base's supermarket <1>. It was constructed of prefabricated metal panels on a concrete plinth with a smoked glass entrance and canopy, and six loading bays to the rear.
It was formed of two parts with the supermarket in the western part with offices to the north and loading bays in the taller, eastern part <2><3>. The entrance was in the north-west corner. It was designed by Farmer and Dark Architects of London.
In the early 21st century it was partially let to an electrical company <2><3>.
