Full Description
Building 161 was constructed in c.1983-84, north-east of the Main Road and Engineers Road, and south of Apron Road <1>. It was a small rectangular shed, comprising an asbestos mineral compound sheet clad steel structure, with a yellow brick plinth at a low level. Prior to its construction, this part of the site was a large complex of buildings associated with the engineering works. This replacement structure was a pavements and ground facilities unit during GLCM (Ground Launched Cruise Missile) phase.
It was demolished between 2010 <4> and 2018 <5>.
