Full Description

Lands at Denford are mentioned in a Saxon bequest in 931<1>, and at the time of Edward the Confessor Denford comprised 10 hides although in the Domesday Survey it had 5 <2><3>.
The GIS point is approximate, although the place name <4> means it must have been by the river.

British Pathe has a film showing the filming of "Quiet Weekend" in 1945 at Denford <4>.
